I'm totally going with my hattrick of posts for this week, with this being the third in 3 days.

Well I've finally put in my two weeks notice to my company, and am starting to get things straightened up here(and not supprisingly enough with my lack of work in general at my time here there's very little to straighten up). I'm going to be taking a position at Dynamic Animation Systems headquartered in Fairfax, VA(in a building practically next to the one that uberfluffy works at). In addiction to a respectable pay raise, I'm getting a title upgrade as well as potential stock options, and the icing on the cake is that I'm going to be doing much more interesting work(essientially working on fps games for the goverment to do training with). Only downside compared to my current is that now I'll have to be doing work rather than surfing the web during work hours. I think I can live with that since this job is going to involve working on lots of neat stuff.

To spread around this good karma to PGH, I was wondering if drspooky and the rest of Pittsburgh crew would mind if I made a sizeable donation to the party fund for the 4th?

Donations to the "Stephanie Really Wants to go to a Warm Place in November Fund" are also accepted. You can donate VIA paypal or send them directly to me.

See you this weekend:)

The donation would be greatly appreciated, though I would keep it on the DL so as not to give people the impression that they are exempt from donating just because you're generous.

You can handle all that directly with John Eric or Erik.

*laugh* Why would we Mind? Donations will be accepted at and before the party.

Does the government need level designers?

Who knows? You guys might not want any of that dirty government money, or any of that dirty chink money, etc. ;) Now just to decide how much I want to give for this cause.

Once I'm in, we'll see about the needing of level designers. Providing the hookups is always good.

According to the website you posted, they are indeed in need of level designers.

Does this mean you're moving down this way?

Looks likes you'll be working near Fair Oaks Mall so we should start doing lunch. =P I work about 10-15 minutes down the road from there.

Well I'll actually be working in Fort Belvoir, down in Springfield, but the company's hq is in Fairfax. We'll see how often I'll need to go there, they are giving me a laptop to use, so I wouldn't be supprised if I had up that way fairly often. Still, I'm prolly going to wind up moving into VA somewhere. Need to orient myself with the housing situation down there.

You should move to Burke, where every road has "Burke" as part of its name.

I personally, as a member of the Pittsburgh crew, do not mind if you make a large donation to the party.*

* Muffin in no way has anything to do with organizing the party.

Fairfax?! Wow, I used to live around there! Actually, it was in Loudon (sp?) County, which I can't remember if Fairfax is in or not. Anywho, I lived in Ashburn Farms in case you've heard of it - it's kinda close to Dulles Airport. Wow, I wish I could go back and visit VA again, I really liked it there! ^_^ Congrats on your new job!!!

Yeah, Fairfax is pretty close to there. There's a fair bit of cool stuff in VA, though it's not really all that far from MD, where I'm living right now. What's that saying? Virginia's for lovers and Maryland has crabs.

Congratulations on your new job. That's a great accomplishment, and I'm proud of you. I know your current job was dragging on your nerves, and not challenging you, so I'm glad you'll be able to move on to something much more 1337.
